From San Francisco take Golden Gate Transit bus to Central San Rafael. Routes 70/80 leave every half hour on weekends to from 7th and Folsom (Downtown SF), Mission and 1st, 7th and Market, McAlister and Post, Golden Gate Toll Plaza and other locations. Arrives in Central San Rafael (3rd and Hetherton) approximately one hour (from downtown SF) . Fee is approximately $3.75. Exact change is required (senior and youth fares are available).

From Central San Rafael Bus terminal walk due East (under the freeway overpass) 5 blocks on 3rd Street to Union St. (at Whole Foods market). Turn left on Union Street 1 1/2 blocks to 294 Union (two doors from where Union St. ends). Allow 20 minutes walking time (7 blocks) . Coming back "transfers" to Muni are available.

From Santa Rosa, Rohnert park, Cotati, and Novato, Golden Gate Transit bus line 80 runs every hour on weekends/holidays to Central San Rafael (3rd and Hetherton) starting at 4 AM and lasting until almost 10 PM. From Santa Rosa the fee is $4.55. Exact change is required (senior and youth fares are available). From Central San Rafael Bus terminal walk due East (same as in directions above).

From East Bay (El Cerrito Del Norte Bart Station) to Central San Rafael Transit Center. Weekends and Holidays buses leave every hour starting at 8 AM. Total trip time to Central San Rafael Transit Center (3rd and Hetherton) is 45 minutes. Fee is $2.35. Exact change is required. Senior and youth fares are available. From Central San Rafael Bus terminal walk due East (same as in directions above).

Ferry Service from San Francisco to Larkspur Landing is also available. This service runs approximately 6 AM to 9 PM on weekdays and takes 1/2 hour. However on weekends/holidays the first ferry from San Francisco leaves SF at 12:30 PM. After arriving at Larkspur take Golden Gate Transit bus to Central San Rafael (5 minutes) for $2.00. Transfers are available (please inquire), or consider a 5 minute taxi to 294 Union St. Call Golden Gate Ferry information at numbers below:
